The construction of a planetarium in Malaga continues and the works are expected to begin this summer.
The project presented jointly by a local company Gestomer , a famous Malaga astronomer Alberto Castro-Tirado and the multinational Sky Skan will be the one carried out. The planetarium will be built on an 8,000 m2 plot, located in front of the Benítez camp.
The planetarium in Malaga, Planetarium Malaga , will be the largest in Europe. Reaching an internal diameter of 27 meters, it will also be the fourth largest in the world.
It is expected that by 2022 it will become operational and be a scientific reference at an international level.
